Rhapsody Posters / Print

Portraying a message and engaging to the audience or potential customers is vital for a brand and its growth as a company. A popular method of achieving this by using print media. This can be used in situations such as guitar stores or even online social media sites. Print media is a form of advertising that is more personal towards the consumers, appealing and showcasing deals before their eyes that would entice and evoke the company furthermore.

To keep within the codes and conventions of the guitar and music industry, one of the posters I have produced to advertise a sale, featuring a guitar. This was created on Illustrator using a combination of the arc and shape builder tool to make the guitar, which is the pinnacle feature which would entice any sort of audience, but mainly the guitar user target audience.

I also made it essential to include the identity of my brand within the logos, so before reading any form of information or text, the consumer or customer would be able to recognise it is from my brand. As well as including the logo or brand name, I have continued the use of the wireframe globes as that is what brings the brand identity right the way through.

Another poster that I designed was a more specific sale poster that gives of information that there are rhapsody products are on sale there. I went with  more "traditional" sale poster as I tried to implement the "in your face" features into the design For instance, I added a drop shadow on the words to make them stand out and give off a 3D look as if it is jumping out to the customer.

The idea of the design was to use colours and patterns that would connote the brand but also appeal to the audience. The colours (Grey, white and red) work in compliment of one another, allowing the poster to flow and convey the message further.  The paint strokes are included to bring the design alive engaging the audience to act upon what the poster is stating. This particular poster was created on Photoshop, were the stroke brushes were able to be added using the brush tool and the text was able to get the drop shadow blending option for the 3D effect.
